TV, Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube—You name it. Open any of these platforms and you’ll find that they’re plagued with hatred, bigotry, and fanaticism. These keyboard warriors don’t shy away from name-calling, abusing, and bullying people from different religions.
At this very crucial moment, we need to realize that humanity cannot bear this burden of hatred. There’s already so much going on in the world. Wars, human rights abuse, poverty, climate change, natural calamities, the list is endless. We do not need hate. Fighting for the sake of religion is futile. Abdul Kalam has rightly said, “For great men, religion is a way of making friends; small people make religion a fighting tool.”
Let’s not try to prove that one’s religion is better. Let’s try to understand each other’s faiths. No religion teaches us hatred and war. Religion is all about love and way of life. Not convinced? Have a look at what different religions say about peace and humanity.
